Session 1: Why Open Up? Possibilities, hopes, and what you want more of A positive, welcoming entry point for people opening up, considering it, or already ENM and wanting to do it with more care. We’ll explore: - Opening up as a spectrum (not one “right” destination) - Positive drivers (connection, autonomy, identity, community, variety, growth, healing) - “Grow vs protect”: what you want more of, and what you want to safeguard You’ll leave able to: - Name 2–3 positive drivers - Name what you want to grow and what you want to protect - Understand workshop expectations and what “safe and useful participation” looks like How it runs: - Interactive: pair-shares, small groups, whole-group discussion - You can always pass, take breaks, or participate quietly - Take-home worksheet + 1–2 min exit check Intake required before booking: - Complete a short intake form first - You’ll then receive your tier-specific booking link(s) + recommended sessions Key info: - Skills-and-support workshop space (not a dating / hook-up space) - 18+ | one facilitator | up to 2 hours | capped at 12 people - Tickets are per person (solo/couple/polycule welcome) - Confidentiality: don’t share other people’s stories or identifying details outside the room - Note: the facilitator is part of the ENM community. If seeing them at ENM-related events would feel uncomfortable, it may be best not to attend. Accessibility: - Contact me in advance for access needs. Breaks welcome; low-sensory where possible; bring sensory supports/comfort items. Support person by arrangement. About the facilitator: Adam Forman — qualified counsellor and long-time group facilitator (ENM DNM support group). Warm, direct, practical, trauma-aware, and inclusive (including queer and trans affirmation). If finances are a barrier: contact me and I’ll do my best to support access.
